We met at the landing at 5:45 in the morning with hopes to beat the extreme temps we were having. We had ran to the best spot I had for this tide we were dealing with. We got there and It took about 30 mins to get our first hook up. Davis got his first Redfish ever. He was grinning from ear to ear. So I re-rigged the rod with some bait and cast back out to the same area and as soon as I handed it off to him, It was gone again. This Redfish had some shoulders on him. It was all he could do with this Redfish to get him to the boat.
Dad finally got into the action also with a 21 in slot Redfish and Davis caught a couple more after that.
All in all, It was a slow day with the temps exceeded 100+. But we caught about half a dozen Redfish and boats that were beside us didn’t even get a hookup. It was an awesome day fishing Pawleys Island local areas.
