Myrtle Beach Charters at McClellanville SC

Matt and Bill

The day was supposed to be one of the most beautiful days that we have had in weeks as far as the winds go. It was very cold in the morning and they were nervous about the catch for the day. But I reassured them that today may be the day we tear em’ up. We were going on an 8 hour charter and we were looking for Redfish only. And of course, This was another charter for the “HORSESHOE”. I need what this guy has, cause he has it!!! No more to say. Can we bottle it for resale?

We started throwing popping corks down a certain bank for about an hour and we caught about 4 there. Looking at some other areas waiting for the tide to get right, we didn’t have any luck.

So as the day progressed, I looked at my watch and said we need to go to the area were I think we may be able to start targeting these fish coming out of the grass. So we ran there and started dead sticking and slow moving baits. The tide was exactly Midtide and falling. They started hooking up every single cast and landing about 2/3 for every fish they hooked!!! In the last 30 mins of the tide falling it got really slow and so did the first 30 mins of the rise. But it was like a switch went off and it was “GAME ON” again for em’. They were hooking em’ every cast.

I literally “COUNTED” every fish they boated in this 8 hour charter. They BOATED “EXACTLY 50 REDFISH!!!!!”. All of them were at the upper slot and way above! But on the down side, They hooked up with over “70”!!!!!! Matt and Bill did more than I was expecting on this trip. It was one definitely for the ages!!! Congrats guys, we only get a few of these per year and you guys definitely got one of the best of the year!! FREAKING AWESOME!!!

My Brother-in-law and I booked a 3 day charter with Capt. Rob.

This was my first time fishing for Red Fish and what a experience! Although I’m not the fisherman that my Brother-in-law is, I caught a lot of Red Fish and Sea Trout. Capt. Rob was very knowledgeable of the water and the fish, so he helped me be a better fisherman. On our first day out, it was beautiful weather and with lots of Red Fish. The second day, we had some high winds and rough water, but Capt. Rob knew just where to put us to catch fish all day long. Our last day was every bit as good if not better than the fist two days combined. Was sad to see it end. I would highly recommend a charter with Capt. Rob, I would and will do it again! If you have a love for fishing this is one trip you don’t want to miss out on!
